Yuying Gao, M.D., Ph. D.

Dr. Christine Yuying Gao has spent more than 18 years in clinical pharmacology research and drug development. Prior to joining Quantitative Solutions in 2006 as director of consulting services, she had spent 7 years at Pharsight Corp as Consultant at the Drug Development Consulting Services Group. She has worked with more than 30 pharmaceutical companies and modeled more than 80 compounds in clinical development. Her principal research interests currently are application of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling and simulation to optimize treatment strategies as well as bridging strategies, trial designs, and drug development decision making.
Dr. Gao received the Ph.D. degree in clinical pharmacology and the master degree in anesthesiology from the Shanghai Second Medical University, China, in 1998 and 1995, respectively. She received the M.D. degree in medical science from the Shanxi Medical University, China, in 1985. She served as an anesthesiologist at hospitals for 13 years to perform clinical anesthesia for all kinds of surgical procedures, especially anesthesia for open heart surgery. She conducted her postdoctoral fellowship in clinical pharmacology at the Department of Anesthesia, Stanford University School of Medicine under Dr. Steven L. Shafer from 1998 to 2000.
