Quantifying the World's Clinical Trial Efficacy, Tolerability, and Safety Information to Enable Good Drug Development Decisions

Diabetes Database

The Quantify Diabetes Database includes clinical safety and efficacy information from trials investigating metformin (MET), sulfonuryleas (SU), thiazoledinediones (TZD), dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4) inhibitors, glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogs, and and sodium/glucose cotransporter 2(SGLT-2) in type-2 diabetes (T2D). The focus is on glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin endpoints over time, in four therapeutic scenarios:

• TZD, DPP4, GLP-1, or SGLT-2 monotherapy
• TZD, DPP4, GLP-1, SGLT-2, or SU add-on to MET
• TZD, DPP4, GLP-1, SGLT-2 add-on to SU or SU+MET
• DPP4, GLP-1, SGLT-2 add-on to TZD

Other therapeutic scenarios, such as MET add-on to SU or initial combination treatments, are generally excluded. Information on other treatments, such as insulin, are included if they serve as an active control in the trial. In total, the database contains information on over 150 trials. Detailed information on the database will be released soon.
