Quantifying the World's Clinical Trial Efficacy, Tolerability, and Safety Information to Enable Good Drug Development Decisions

General Structure of Our Databases

All QS databases consist of a source database and a core database.

The source database captures all publications identified on pubmed search using pre-specified terms. It keeps close track of ALL papers found through these searched that are included in the database as well as those excluded in order to facilitate easy expansion at a later time.

The core clinical outcomes database are structured by groups of fields(columns) of information captured for each datapoint (row), with headers color-coded for ease of navigation. The columns are grouped as follows: “Source” columns (everything relate to the source reference), “Trial” columns (information regarding the specific trial), “Treatment” columns (information regarding the specific treatment arm of the trial), “Patient” columns (information regarding the demographic characteristics of patients for the specific arm), and “Outcomes” columns (information regarding the endpoint recorded on this row).

In addition to the source database and core database, the database product comes with detailed documentation including a summary of information available in the database (total number of trials, list of drugs, list of endpoints, and total number of patients for a specific drug or endpoint, etc). Also included in the documentation are exploratory graphs of key endpoints (time course data or dose response graphs).
